Join Freemasonry in Winchester

Freemasonry is open to men of good character aged 18 and over. If you’re looking for Winchester Freemasons — especially if you have links to Peter Symonds — we’d rather you asked than wondered.

What we ask

Members believe in a Supreme Being (however they understand that), meet the membership criteria of the United Grand Lodge of England, and want to be part of a lodge that values honesty, kindness and time together.

You do not need to be an Old Symondian, though many Brethren are — or have family and friends who went to Peter Symonds College.

What happens next

  • You send a brief enquiry (no commitment)
  • Someone from the lodge talks with you — usually over coffee or a phone call
  • If it feels right, you may be invited to meet members or visit informally
  • Joining is a considered process — never rushed

Already a Freemason?

Visiting Brethren are welcome by arrangement. Contact us with your mother lodge and dates — we’ll put you in touch with the secretary.
